- 11Yes. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in accordance with their ethical framework. I am also trained in online safety.
- 12For those who hold a Christian faith, I can integrate spiritual understanding when it feels meaningful for you. This is always led by your preferences — never assumed and never imposed.
- 13I understand that life can be unpredictable, but I kindly ask for 24 hours' notice. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, I will try my best to accommodate, but following the contract terms and conditions, you will be charged for the session missed. Please view the contract.
- 14I'll send you an “all about me” form, alongside our protection policy for you to view. I will also email you our contracts for you to read through at your leisure and to sign. I would ask for all paperwork to be completed and emailed before our first session for the process to run smoothly. Before we begin, I’ll send you a secure Microsoft Teams link and I may ask a few simple questions beforehand. You can choose a quiet, comfortable space where you feel at ease. You don’t need to have everything figured out.
- 15In order to build our therapeutic relationship, it is really helpful to go through our contract together and for you to have the opportunity to ask any questions. We will also look through your all about me form. I will share with you the way I work, and we will also spend some time exploring your focus of counselling, what outcomes, if any and how I can help along your journey. We may book 6 initial sessions if you wish to.
